"Sport for Development" The United Nations System in T&T, through its Country Team on HIV and AIDS (UNCT) has embarked on a "Sport for Development" campaign. As part of this effort the UNCT has teamed up with the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) to promote HIV prevention through Cricket. On the eve of World Aids Day 30 November , the UNCT has organised a Media Briefing, chaired by the UN Resident Coordinator, about the work of the UNCT with WIPA and to launch Information, Education and communications material on HIV/AIDS that have been developed through close partnership with national cricket players. Four (4) wall posters and several voice service announcements (PSAs) featuring national cricketers have been finalised and will be launched at the media briefing. |
