| Adv 02/07 | HIV Walk The West Indies Players' Association (WIPA), in collaboration with the National Aids Coordinating Council (NACC), and Joint UN Team on AIDS, has organized a walk-a-thon to mobilize leadership in the fight against HIV and to sensitize children and members of the public on HIV. The venue will be Queen's Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain on Thursday August 16, 2007 at 4.45 p.m. starting from the area directly opposite the Head Office of bpTT. Participating in this event will be the current and past West Indies cricketers, members of the national cricket and football teams, children from Special Homes, Corporate Executives, UN and civil society organisations, and other members of the public. A special invitation has been extended to the Honourable Patrick Manning, Prime Minister, to start the proceedings. |
